Creatives in the Church
The source of creativity is the Creator. We need to be in a community of fellow believers so that we can be reminded of the wonderful things Christ has done for us. To remember our identity is not found solely in our creativity, but Christ. Yes we are artists, but first and foremost, we are children of God.
When the gospel re-creates us, it re-creates all of us, including our creativity. The gospel re-tunes creativity to point to the source of beauty and bring glory to Him.
The body of Christ is diverse and beautifully created by the ultimate Creator. It’s a blessing to be in community with others in the body and it will help your heart, growth and even your art. Being an artist in the church is a gift.
